Docaviv is an international documentary film festival that takes place annually in Tel Aviv. It has, under its Founder and Director, Ilana Tsur, quickly established itself as one of the most important festivals of its kind in the world today. These six award-winning Israeli documentaries have been selected to represent ‘The Best of Docaviv’ here in Australia. Ilana Tsur will be in attendance at all the screenings.

Kevin Rudd MP, Shadow Minister for Foreign Affairs & International Security launched the Festival at the Nova Cinema in Melbourne on Thursday 6 November. Senator Rod Kemp, Minister for the Arts & Sport, launched the Festival at The Chauvel Cinema, Sydney, the following week. On both occasions, the opening film was ‘Number 17 in Anonymous’
